No easy fix to Three Miles dislocation
Dear Editor,
There’s indeed no simple solution to address the current situation faced by the business people in the Marcus Garvey and Three Miles area.
With that said, one should not disregard the questions the Opposition has on how much communication took place with these businesses before implementation of the work.
I, for one, think the Government should grant a reprieve of tax to all these businesses finding it extremely difficult to conduct business throughout the construction period of that thoroughfare, at least until completion.
Considerations for the employees of some of these businesses must be prioritised because it is usually those at the lower end of the spectrum that will feel the pinch if the employers are forced to implement cost-cutting measures.
