First witness to testify in murder trial involving Clarendon cop
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The first witness in the murder trial of Constable Collis “Chucky” Brown is to take the stand this morning in the Home Circuit Court.
Brown will be tried on three counts of murder in connection with the shooting death of three men in Clarendon between 2009 and 2012.
The officer, who has been in custody since 2014, is being tried for the deaths of Robert “Gutty” Dawkins on January 10, 2009 and Andrew Fearon and Wayne Douglas both on December 13, 2012.
Brown, who will also be tried on a charge of conspiracy and wounding with intent, is being represented by attorney Norman Godfrey and Carlton Collman.
Queens Counsel Caroline Hay and attorney Annmarie Feurtado- Richards will be prosecuting the case.
