Digicel wins 15-year contract in St Lucia, Grenada and St Vincent
Telecommunications company, Digicel, has been awarded a 15-year ICT-managed services contract by the governments of St Lucia, Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Digicel will be working with partners, Cisco and Fortinet on the agreement which sees the telecommunications company delivering fibre-optic network infrastructure to Government buildings in the three Caribbean markets.
The agreement forms part of the Caribbean Regional Communications Infrastructure Programme (CARCIP) and will result in significantly reduced costs, improved productivity and technology benefits with Digicel committed to ensuring service delivery excellence over the 15-year term.
Ultimately, the initiative is expected to drive economic growth in the Caribbean nations.
