St Andrew water supply to be affected tomorrow
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) says due to emergency repair work on Stanton Terrace, the Mona Treatment Plant will shut down tomorrow.
As a result, customers in St Andrew will experience disruptions in their usual water supply between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm, NWC said in a release.
Areas to be affected include: Mona, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road, Devon Square, Waterloo Road, Cassia Park, Eastwood Park, Red Hills Road, Below Grants Pen, Half-Way-Tree Road, Upper Maxfield Avenue, Ziadie Gardens, Dunrobin Avenue, New Kingston, Liguanea, Mona Road, Ravina, Hagley Park Road, Harbour View, Shooters Hill and Bull Bay.
Customers in the affected areas are being urged to store water for use during the period of disruption and also to carefully monitor usages.
Additionally, NWC advised motorists and pedestrians to traverse the roadways carefully as there may be traffic changes to accommodate the works.
