Second man dies in St Elizabeth gun attack
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) has confirmed reports that a second man has died following a gun attack in Mountain Valley, St Elizabeth early yesterday morning.
He is identified as 21-year-old Brian Tomlinson, o’c ‘Black’ of Hayes, Clarendon.
According to reports, Tomlinson was at home with two other men and a woman when four men dressed as police officers entered minutes after 1:00 am.
It is further reported that the intruders robbed all four residents of valuables, including cell phones, before ordering the three men to lie down on the living room floor where they were shot.
The woman was not harmed.
Nineteen-year-old Omario Ross, a tattoo artiste also of a Clarendon address, was pronounced dead at hospital while his brother and Tomlinson were admitted. However, the latter died while undergoing treatment.
Police say the three recently relocated to Mountain Valley.
St Elizabeth police investigators are said to be consulting with their Clarendon counterparts on the matter.
