The Jamaica National Group to sponsors Reggae Girlz
Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz has secured another major sponsorship agreement for their Road to France campaign from Jamaica National (JN) Group, which is now a platinum partner of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) according to a release from the federation.
JFF President Michael Ricketts commended the JN Group for its decision to come on board, claiming the sponsorship will positively impact the team’s preparation for France.
“We thank the JN Group for this sponsorship, which will go a long way in assisting us to meet the obligations of our campaign to France,” he said.
Ricketts also stated that the four-year partnership indicates corporate Jamaica’s commitment to the sports industry and the development of local football talent, as well as provides significant support to the work of the JFF.
The sponsorship came just in time for the Reggae Girlz, who qualified for this year’s World Cup finals in France when they beat Panama during a penalty shoot-out, 4-2, following a 2-2 extra time draw during the third-place play-off of the Concacaf Women’s Championship in Frisco, Texas, in the United States of America.
Dana Morris Dixon, assistant general manager/chief marketing and business development officer, JN Group, said the Jamaica National Group was proud to support the Reggae Girlz’ Campaign to France.
“We are excited to be part of this historic journey with the Reggae Girlz, who have demonstrated grit and determination; and, we are confident that they will represent our country well,” she maintained.
The Reggae Girlz will represent Jamaica at the Fifa Women’s World Cup, which is slated to kick off on June 7, 2019.
