ABM captures $20,000
Dear Claudienne
I am having an issue with National Commercial Bank (NCB) for over two months now.
On Thursday, September 20, 2018 I attempted to pay my credit card bill at the drive-through ABM at their Constant Spring Road branch in Kingston. On depositing $30,000 in the machine, $10,000 was returned and $20,000 was captured by the machine along with my card.
I lodged a report in-branch and also made a report at the Credit Card Centre that same day.
At the Credit Card Centre I was told that I would be contacted in three to five working days but that did not happen. I waited two weeks before returning to the branch and the card centre for an update. I was then told by the CSR to lodge another report.
Up to today, December 16, 2018, there has been no response from the bank to my complaint.
I even contacted Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) and made a report but still nothing has happened.
For the past two months I have been visiting the card centre and each time I visit all I’m told is to lodge a report again and someone will contact me I am very frustrated because the bank just wants to replace the card and nothing has been said about replacing the $20,000 that the machine took.
I would appreciate your help.
OC
