DNA results for suspected stolen baby to be ready by weekend
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The parents of a newborn who was snatched from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston are to know by weekend if a baby found in the company of a woman yesterday belongs to them.
Father of the missing baby Sinclair Hutton, in providing an update on the matter, told OBSERVER ONLINE that he has not seen the child but he strongly believes that the nearly one-month-old baby is his.
DNA samples were taken from the couple today to compare with that of the child.
Sinclair and his spouse were contacted by the Kingston Western Police Division to do the test following the arrest of a woman who attempted to register a baby at the Registrar General’s Department (RGD) in Twickenham Park, St Catherine, yesterday.
The woman and the baby were taken into custody about 3 o’clock when she was unable to provide the relevant information to complete the registration process. Racquel Porter
