The Jamaican Government has sought to assure that there are no Windrush immigrants among a number of people being deported from the United Kingdom today.

5. Taxi drivers protest after disappearance of colleague

Taxi operators who ply the Jones Town to downtown Kingston route this morning withdrew their service to protest the disappearance of their colleague.

6. Cop shot during confrontation with gunmen

A policeman has been hospitalised following a shooting on West Street in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

7. CCTVs to be installed at KPH by month end

The Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) is expected to install security cameras before month end.

8. Police trying to locate relatives of slain Lucea man

The police are trying to locate the relatives of a man who was shot dead in Prosper district in Lucea, Hanover in December last year.

9. New oil discoveries in Guyana

Guyana today announced that the US-based oil giant, ExxonMobil, had made two additional discoveries of oil offshore Guyana building on the previously announced estimated recoverable resource of more than five billion oil-equivalent barrels on the Stabroek block.

10. JCF says no recruitment drive in Mocho, Clarendon

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has advised that there is no recruitment drive currently taking place in Mocho, Clarendon.
