Curfew in Central Village, St Catherine extended
KINGSTON, Jamaica —
The curfew that was imposed in sections of Central Village in the St Catherine South Police Division on Saturday has been extended.
The police said it will remain in effect until Wednesday, February 13. It was slated to end at 6:00 pm yesterday.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: Along an imaginary line from Collins Crescent to Rocklands at the eastern boundary;
East: Along an imaginary line from Rocklands to the Nelson Mandela Highway in the vicinity of the dirt track;
South: Along the east bound lane of the Nelson Mandela Highway from the dirt track at the eastern boundary to the Ashtrom Construction Company;
West: Along an imaginary line from the Ashtrom Construction Company to Collins Crescent at the northern boundary.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
