Several plastic bags containing a total of 500 pounds of ganja were yesterday seized on separate occasions in Clarendon and Portland.
7. Clarendon man believed to be of unsound mind dies in fire
The Spalding police have commenced investigations into the circumstances which led to the death of a man, who perished in a fire following an argument with a neighbour in Bloomwell district, Clarendon yesterday.
8. New athletes group formed to tackle doping in sports
An Olympic gold medalist and a former executive at the World Anti-Doping Agency are forming an organisation designed to give athletes a stronger voice in the fight against doping and the powers that police it.
9. Four arrested in cocaine bust at NMIA
Four people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the seizure of 53 pounds of cocaine at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
10. Gabriel clears air on controversial remark following ICC ban
Fast bowler Shannon Gabriel has issued a clear-the-air statement revealing his controversial comments to England captain Joe Root, which earned him a stiff four-match one-day ban from cricket’s world governing body, the ICC.
