The foundation was formed by several past students of Excelsior High School who are passionate about giving back to their alma mater. “We are aware that while many students excel academically, they oftentimes lack the financial stability to perform at their full potential,” the foundation said on Wednesday. “Our goal is to assist as many students as possible by reducing their financial burden. We are paying it forward and giving the opportunity of an education to both present and future students.” In addition to scholarships, the foundation has donated football boots and supplies to the athletic department, as well as food. “We host annual events in New York City after which we
use the money made from these events and those donated by families and friends to award these scholarships and supplies,” the foundation stated.
