Woman killed, man injured in Hanover shooting

HANOVER, Jamaica — A woman was killed while a man was injured during a shooting incident in Hanover yesterday afternoon.

Dead is 24-year-old Keneisha Kerr of Campbell Hill in Lucea, Hanover.

The constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said Kerr was at her home about 1:30 pm when armed men on motorcycles approached her home and opened gunfire on a man who was standing in the yard.

The assailants then entered the house and shot Kerr, hitting her multiple times, before they escaped on the motorcycles.

Kerr and the injured man were taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead and the man admitted.

Investigations continue.
