Gas prices up $1.78, diesel up $0.31
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in the price of gasoline and diesel, effective Thursday, February 28, according to the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $127.27 and $130.11 per litre, respectively, up by $1.78 each.
Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $135.43 per litre following an increase of $0.31 while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by $0.02, and will be sold for $136.48 per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene decreased in price by $0.12 and will be sold for $112.62 per litre.
Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $47.20 per litre, up by $0.61 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $54.48 per litre after a decrease of $0.57.
Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-up to these prices.
