Do we need a Sherlock Holmes?
Dear Editor,
It’s going on three months since a jockey at Caymans Park race track was caught with an electronic device popularly called a battery prior to the start of a race.
In its initial response, the Jamaica Racing Commission announced it had launched an intense investigation and the public would be informed of the findings.
Well, unless the racing commission needs assistance from Sherlock Holmes why is it taking this long to find out how the rider came in possession of the device as well as his or her identity?
Or, is it that the trail leads to person or persons deemed untouchable?
Meanwhile, rumours continue to swirl, some of which are very ugly.
This situation breathes life into the Jamaican saying, “If it nuh guh suh it nearly guh suh.”
This, while the public waits seemingly in vain.
