Crawford and PNP think Jamaicans have no sense
Dear Editor,
One thing about Jamaicans in 2019, we can spot a con even before it raises its head.
We are a smart people. So why is the People’s National Party (PNP) taking us for fools?
I read that the PNP has now called for a debate between their candidate in the Portland Eastern by-election Damion Crawford and the standard-bearer for the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Ann-Marie Vaz.
One wonders if they really think we have no sense.
Just two weeks ago Crawford declared effectively that Vaz was just a pretty face whose biggest achievement should be to land a husband, and he, on the other hand, was the holder of at least one postgraduate degree and serve as an educator.
If we are to believe him for what he said, then Vaz is obviously inferior to him.
Why then call her out for debate? To teach her a postgraduate lesson?
If, as he says, it is a “beautiful face vs a beautiful mind”, why choose a game of the mind?
Crawford had a platform to tell what his plans were for the people of Portland Eastern and spent so much time berating Vaz. Now he wants to make a spectacle of her in what he has quintessentially deemed an unfair fight.
He comes wearing the cloak of good order calling for a debate when the aim is to further embarrass her.
We see what you are about Crawford.
We see who you are Crawford.
Don’t think for a minute that the 2019 Jamaican has no sense.
