#Champs2019: Edwin Allen’s Davis defends Class two 100m title

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Edwin Allen’s outstanding talent Kevona Davis successfully defended her Class two 100m title at the 109th ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships underway at the National Stadium.

Davis the record holder at 11.16, had little interest in lowering that time as she cruised to victory in 11.19 in a positive 1.4 metres per second wind reading.

She won ahead of Ackera Nugent (11.42) of Excelsior Krystal Sloley (11.48) of Campion College, both achieving personal bests.

Davis will now turn her focus to Saturday’s 200m final to complete the double and end her final year in Class two in style.
