1. US cops arrest J’can man accused of chopping wife, child to death
Law enforcement authorities in the United States have captured a Jamaican man they say used a machete to kill his wife and daughter.
2. US, Ja partner under Hague Convention on Child Abduction
The United States says it has become a “partner” with Jamaica under the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. The State Department said that the partnership “entered into force” on Monday and that Washington now have 79 partners under the Convention.

Prime Minister Theresa May held “constructive” talks Wednesday with Britain’s opposition leader in a bid to forge a Brexit compromise that avoids a chaotic “no-deal” departure from the EU in nine days.
