Texxus Redmoney looks at life
UK-based deejay Texxus Redmoney is making inroads in the local market with his latest single My Life. The song was released earlier this year on the Musiq UK label.
“The song is getting airplay and is already on most of the major mixtapes in Kingston. I plan to shoot a video for the song next month when I come to Jamaica because of the early positive feedback. It’s a good look,” said the on-the-rise artiste.
He said it is important that the song be “accepted” in “Land of Dancehall,” as Jamaica is a tough market.
Texxus Redmoney said he is solidifying an underground following in the dancehall scene in the UK.
“I am well established among all the UK dancehall artistes and most top UK dancehall DJs and sounds have played my songs in the past. I put my career on hold for a few years to build up other business ventures. These have gone well and I now looking to get back on the scene in a big way,” he said.
Hailing from Portmore in St Catherine, he attended Bridgeport High School. He migrated to the UK at the age of 14 in 1998. He fell in love with the music business and began to hone his recording skills.
He scored a minor hit with Always On My Mind seven years ago and generated a lot of buzz with Swag On featuring Stylo G.
He has several mixtapes, including This Is Serious, as well as an album, Success Comes With Alot Of Enemies. He plans to release an EP, Right Grip, in summer.
