Water problems along the line
Dear Editor,
I write to express my concern and helplessness.
I think this medium may assist in waking up the sleeping municipal corporation’s authorities.
Our locality has been facing severe scarcity of water. The problem is quite complex.
We have not been receiving normal water supply for many weeks. It is owing to the ever-increasing pressure of new ‘colonies’ mushrooming on the outskirts of the area. The water supply is being given to these new colonies when they attach themselves to the already limited supply. As a result, the water does not come in our taps.
So, that is the activity causing the scarcity of water in the community.
It is so overwhelmingly painful to have young adults and children carrying water before going to school. They get so tired and the only thing they consider doing is sleeping or taking long breaks.
Remember that water is life, and if we do not have enough to facilitate our community it may result in serious health issues and protests.
I am suggesting, therefore, that together we can enlighten the powers that be to our situation and protect our future doctors, nurses, teachers, police officers, soldiers, engineers, etc.
