CP Ink drops Wash Mi Locks
Singjay CP Ink has faith in the power of persistence. That was the inspiration for his song, Wash Mi Locks , which was released last year.
“I’m not a person who believes in giving up, and I’m not giving up on this song which has the potential to be a big hit. We are working hard to make Wash Mi Locks one of the biggest songs in reggae music,” he said.
CP Ink (real name Wayne Rose) is known for songs such as Big Foot and Square Mouth and Basket Nuh Carry Wata. He recently released a video for Wash Mi Locks, which was filmed at Bath Fountain in his native St Thomas and sections of Kingston.
There are other projects in the works, including an EP and album.
“I’m doing a lot of recordings for my EP and my album, we don’t have any set release dates for either project as yet, but I’m anticipating a 2019 release date for the EP, the album will come after. I also plan to release some new singles later this summer, but for now, the focus is on Wash Mi Locks,” CP Ink revealed.
He is a former member of CP Inc, a quartet which also included Lexxus, Sean Reynolds and Melcito. The group disbanded after two years.
He and Reynolds continued to perform as a duo until he went solo in 2013.
