Three people arrested after police find firearm in car

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three people, including a female, were arrested on reasonable suspicion of illegal possession of firearm after a 9mm pistol along with a magazine containing ten 9mm rounds of ammunition was seized on Red Hills Drive in St Andrew today Saturday, October 5.

Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that about 12:45 am lawmen were on patrol in the area when they observed a Nissan motorcar parked on the roadway. The vehicle along with its occupants was searched and the firearm and ammunition found under the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

All three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody in connection to the seizure.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
