HUNDREDS of Jamaicans are expected to converge at the Jewel Dunn’s River All -Inclusive Resort and Spa in St Ann from October 25 to 27, for a three-day masterclass hosted by The Temple of Light Centre for Spiritual Living.

The event, which has as its theme, ‘Life is Precious, Handle with Prayer’, will focus on helping participants unlock an abundant life through the power of affirmative prayer, a recent release said.

Leading it will be internationally renowned speaker, author and life coach, Rev Eugene Holden, who will lend his expertise and understanding of affirmative prayer in manifesting a life free of lack, according to the release.

“Like music, prayer is universal, and all prayer works because there is a universal law that responds to everything we think, say and feel. We must pray, knowing that it is God’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom. It is our responsibility to say yes and take what has already been given. These prayers aren’t about begging God, but acknowledging that divine goodness is never withheld from us,” he said.

Holden, who has been a student of the Science of Mind and Spirit for more than 30 years, believes there is a surplus of everything, including creative ideas, which can translate into sustained financial prosperity, the release continued.

“As a man thinks, so is he. Therefore, each individual must seek to learn not what to think, but how to think. The Science of Mind and Spirit teaches how we all can be free from the bondage of sickness, poverty and unhappiness — all through focused prayer,” he stated.

Over the three days, workshop participants will be taken through Holden’s five-step path in affirmative prayer, which includes recognition, unification, realisation, thanksgiving, and release. By incrementally building on each step, individuals will be able to release themselves from victim mentality and shift affirmative prayer practice from simply words to meaningful, prosperous and ever-expanding living.

In addition to writing monthly affirmations for the Science of Mind magazine, Holden managed the World Ministry of Prayer at Center for Spiritual Living home office based in Colorado for 10 years. Holden is also a Tai Chi practitioner, energy healer and musician, the release said.

The workshop will open on October 25 with a welcome reception. Then on October 26, the main masterclass will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Participants, according to the release, will then be able to enjoy the offerings of the resort until the evening session, which takes place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

On October 27, there will be an optional service for those wanting to connect deeper spiritually. A think-tank session will be held from 10:00 am to 12 noon, and departure to Kingston is at 2:30pm.

The cost for the workshop, which is $50,000, includes transportation to and from Kingston, accommodation and workshop materials.
