Jahbar-I believes his album is worthy of a Grammy nomination
Fast-rising reggae
artiste Jahbar-I is hoping to get his first Grammy nomination with his debut
album, titled Jahbar-I Deyah.
The 16-track
album that was produced by Jahbar-I and his father, legendary Fire House Crew
Band drummer George ‘Dusty’ Miller, was released late last year on the
Wizkilful imprint.
Miller says
the album was submitted to the Grammy board for consideration in the Best
Reggae Album.
“The album
was submitted and accepted. We are very grateful that it is being considered
for nomination,” he said.
“This is my
first album, and I am honoured that it is being considered for a Grammy
nomination.”
Meanwhile, Jahbar-I
is currently on tour in Europe alongside Junior Kelly on the second leg of the
‘Love So Nice Anniversary Tour’. While in the continent, the entertainer will
do shows in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy.
