JUST IN: Court appearances by Pinnock, Brown & Reids in less than an hour
Embattled President of the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) Professor Fritz Pinnock and his other four co-accused are to appear in court this morning.
Pinnock’s attorney Hugh Wildman confirmed with
BUZZ that his client will make his first appearance at the Corporate Area
Resident Magistrate (RM) Court along Maxfield Avenue in St. Andrew at 10 am.
The other four alleged miscreants:
disgraced former Education Minister Ruel Reid, his daughter Sharelle and wife
Sharen, as well as Councillor for the Brown’s Town Division in St. Ann Kim
Brown, will also appear in court today.
All five will be asked to answer charges ranging from: breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act, conspiracy to defraud, misconduct in a public office at common law, and breaches of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
