Gassan Azan donates $1 million for scholarships at Munro College
Businessman Gassan Azan has donated $1 million for scholarships at Munro College. The process will be administered by the Munro College Old Association (MCOA).
Azan presented the cheque to president of MCOA on Sunday at Caymanas Golf and Country Club in St Catherine during the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where he was also honoured.
“This is a $1 million scholarship from Basho and MegaMart, and it is for you to decide to, how you want to, as you see fit to, use it,” Azan said.
He also pledged
another $250,000, which, he said, is to assist with upgrading glass windows at
the institution.
Azan, dentist Dr Brian Morgan and sports administrator Trevor Parchment were inducted in the MCOA Hall of Fame at the function.
