New ‘Venue’ for Magna Motors
The October 10 announcement by Magna Motors Dealership Limited at the Spanish Court Worthington, New Kingston, that it would be offering corporate fleet services pulled double duty as the company also revealed the newest addition to its automotive line-up, the Venue, after the event.
“Since we’ve done very well with the passenger customers, we’re now coming strongly in the corporate fleet market. We’re offering things that no one is doing in Jamaica. We’re basically making packages suitable for every company,” Erick Gutierrez, managing director — Magna Motors, told the Jamaica Observer’s weekly Auto magazine.
Gutierrez noted that the Magna Corporate Fleet Services will become available to clients that purchase five or more Hyundai vehicles.
“You become a fleet customer once you reach five units. If you do five or more units in one order then you’re automatically a fleet customer,” Gutierrez explained.
After that threshold clients gain access to the following services, discounted vehicle prices from regular market prices, five years factory warranty, special discounts on parts, offer of consignment parts, free technical and non-technical training of technicians that provides them with certification, free 24/7 wrecker service, 24/7 hotline service and free fleet evaluation.
“With Magna Corporate Fleet Services we’re bringing something different and fresh to the market in order to increase our strength with fleet customers.”
Gutierrez added that these services are already in place in Magna’s home market in the Dominican Republic and the company is leveraging its expertise there to bring those services to Jamaica.
At present Magna Motors Dealership Limited has Island Car Rentals, Digicel, Carreras, Honey Bun, Nestle, Avis and Guardsman Group as corporate fleet clients.
As for the all-new Hyundai Venue, Gutierrez was bullish on its chance for success in the crowded sport utility vehicle (SUV) landscape.
“You have young families, small families, kids going to school and the Venue is like a crossover between a sedan and a SUV.”
He highlighted the fuel economy and the sub-four million dollar price tag as reasons he thinks the market will take to it.
The Venue now gives Hyundai a four SUV range starting with the new vehicle, the Creta, Tuscon and the Santa Fe.
The Accent, Elantra and Sonata constitute its sedan range, while HD72, HD75, HD65, H1 Panel and Passenger are in its commercial catalogue.
