EPL: JustBet offers Liverpool at $1.50 to beat Tottenham

…Spurs gets $5.90 to win at Anfield

Referee Martin Atkinson was yet again the man of the match in another game involving Liverpool.

On Sunday (October 20), Atkinson was at it again as Marcus Rashford’s goal was allowed to stand despite Liverpool’s Divock Origi being fouled in the build-up. This was another awful referring display.

Last season, Atkinson failed to award a penalty to Liverpool’s Naby Keita against Leicester which saw the Reds drawing the game. Had that penalty been given and scored, Liverpool would have been crowned EPL champions.

Event # 1

After a below-par performance against Manchester United last weekend, Liverpool’s tricky run of Premier League games continues on Sunday when the Reds host Tottenham at Anfield.

Last season, Tottenham outplayed Liverpool for large periods of the game only to be undone by a last-minute winner, with Jurgen Klopp’s side also coming out on top when the two sides met in the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.

Even though the season is still young, it’s fair to say that the title is already Liverpool’s to lose, as they have built up a nice six-point cushion at the top of the table and are unbeaten following last weekend’s draw at Old Trafford.

Jurgen Klopp may have finally put together a squad capable of winning the Premier League — something they have failed to do since the English top division was renamed the English Premier League in 1992.

The Tottenham Hotspurs team is coming off a disappointing 1-1 home draw against bottom of the table Watford last weekend.

They, however, rediscovered some semblance of form in midweek Champions League action with a 5-0 thrashing of Serbian Champions FK Crvena Zvezda in a dominant home display.

While Liverpool are the strong favourites for the victory at home, Tottenham have shown that their attack can cause problems and this is a game that could throw a spanner in the works of Liverpool’s title ambitions. On the flip side though, they are having a difficult time this season as they are yet to win on the road in four attempts.

Key Stats

Liverpool — won 11 of their last 12 Premier League games with their lone blemish coming in a 1-1 draw at Man United last week. In those 12 matches, the Reds have scored 31 goals — for an average of 2.58 goals per game.

Tottenham — won 3 of their last

10 matches while conceding 11 times in their last 4 games.

Both sides — Liverpool won the last 3 head-to-head meetings with Tottenham having scored twice on each occasion.

The betting tip — Liverpool win with both teams scoring.
