Driver of taxi that mowed down pedestrians to face court tomorrow
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The man who was taken into police custody after reportedly mowing down two pedestrians with a taxi on Eastwood Park Road, St Andrew last Wednesday, is to face the court tomorrow.
Chad Ingram, who the police said was operating the vehicle at the time of the incident, was on Saturday charged with dangerous driving, no PPV insurance coverage, operating contrary to his driver’s license, not stopping at the scene of the accident, and failing to report an accident within 24 hours.
The employed driver of the vehicle, George Malcolm, was also charged by police detectives with aiding and abetting the first three offences.
Malcolm is also to appear in court tomorrow.
The two people who were hit by the motor vehicle sustained injuries and were hospitalised.
