Forever Love
Braeton Primary & Junior High School teacher Michelle Barnes and construction worker Michael Evans are still basking in the aftermath of their nuptials that took place on Saturday, August 17, at Pollyanna Caterers, Stanton Terrace. It was love at first sight when their eyes locked in April 2014. He had taken her clothes off the line to prevent them from getting wet.
“Michael made his feelings known and told me how he wanted me to be a part of his life,” Michelle shared with Vows . The two exchanged numbers and their friendship blossomed, turning into love. Indeed, the proposal of marriage followed four years later, December 25, 2018 at their family Christmas dinner.
Here comes the bride…
Witnessed by immediate family members and friends, the couple exchanged vows guided by Bishop Alexander G Simms at Pollyanna Caterers, which was decorated in shades of orange and green to enhance the space. Michelle was escorted up the aisle by her mother Lilieth Findlay to Auburn’s Perfect Two. She was a picture-perfect bride in an ivory sweetheart Morilee gown from Gordon’s Bridal Flowers and Catering Services. Her bridegroom, suave in a three piece white suit, waited anxiously for the arrival of his bride.
The reception…
The reception followed in the ballroom at Pollyanna Caterers where guests witnessed the unveiling of the three-tiered fruitcake from Creative Cakes & Decorall, and a hearty reception dinner catered by the team at Pollyanna Caterers. Further highlights included the couple’s first dance to I Found Love by BeBe Winans, after which guests danced the night away.
The honeymoon was spent at Jewel Runaway Bay Beach & Golf Resort.
