Sagicor set to open Millennium Mall in Clarendon by December
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Sagicor Group Jamaica (SGJ) is scheduled to officially open Millennium Mall – a 21-acre, $2.3 billion commercial property development in Mineral Heights, Clarendon – in December of this year.
The development, which broke ground in April 2017, is now in the final stages of preparation, with the signage of tenants and the outfitting their units to get ready for business, Sagicor said in a release today.
According to SGJ President, Christopher Zacca, there will be increased commercial activity in the area, creating significant employment opportunities for the people of Clarendon with the number of business places that will be operating in the mall.
“Over 70 per cent of the units have been assigned to prospective tenants and we are confident of take-up for the remaining units by the first quarter of 2020”, Zacca said.
The confirmed tenants for the mall include Sagicor Bank Jamaica, major fast food chain Popeye’s/Little Caesar’s, Knutsford Express and Devon House Iscream outlet, among others. Zacca noted that discussions are also being had with a supermarket chain, a pharmacy, clothing and electronics stores, medical professionals, other fast food restaurants, hair and beauty salons and mobile accessories store.
Last year Sagicor and GB Texaco also signed a deal for the establishment of a gas station at the mall; the gas station is expected to be opened by the last quarter of the year.
Tenants interested in leasing a unit at Millennium Mall can email propertyservices@sagicor.com or call 876-975-6400, 876-975-6403 or 876-975-6405, Sagicor said.
