Regional Energy Ministers to meet in Jamaica next February
KINGSTON, Jamaica – More than 30 energy ministers from the region are set to journey to Jamaica next February for the fourth Energy and Climate Partnership (ECPA) Ministerial Meeting.
The meeting will be held in Montego Bay, St James on February 27 and 28 under the theme “Energy Resilience and Investment Opportunities”.
In launching the ministerial meeting this morning, Minister of Energy Fayval Williams argued that the theme will find resonance in the region where countries are bound by the common pursuit of achieving universal access to safe, clean and affordable energy.
“ECPA members must see the Fourth Ministerial as a call to deepen the collaborations, strengthen the networks, leverage our resources, scale up actions and sharpen our focus on creating a better tomorrow for this, and future generations,” said Williams.
She noted that a number of other events will be held locally to start discussions on Jamaica’s energy agenda and built interest in the Ministerial Meeting.
