Transport operators push for fare increase
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) says it will be holding a press conference tomorrow, Thursday November 14, to push for an increase in fares, against the background of a sliding dollar.
“We are now at a cross-roads in terms of our operations; the conference will announce new steps to be taken in a bid to get Government to respond to our six-year cry for an increase in fares, TODSS said in a release today.
The press conference, scheduled for 1:00 pm at 2 Chelsea Ave in Kingston, will be attended by senior executive of TODSS as well as the Jamaica Association of Transport Owners and Operators and other local transport associations, the release said.
