Final farewell to statesman Douglas Vaz

Loved ones, friends and associates bade a final farewell to former Minister of Industry and Commerce Douglas Vaz, CD during a funeral service at the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church in St Andrew on Monday (Nov 18).

The service was attended by Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Cabinet members of the Jamaica Labour Party of which Vaz was a member. Senior members of the Opposition People’s National Party, other dignitaries and business titans were present to pay their last respects.

Vaz, who was a Cabinet member in the 1980s, is the father of Government Minister Daryl Vaz.
