Former PSOJ, JEA president Beverly Lopez is dead

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former President of the Private Sector Organisation (PSOJ) and the Jamaica Exporters’ Association (JEA) Beverly Lopez was found dead at her home this morning.

Details surrounding her death are sketchy at this time.

Chris Zacca, president and CEO of Sagicor Group Jamaica, has expressed condolences to her family and friends.

“I knew her all my adult life, as a colleague at D&G (Desnoes and Geddes), a friend, and as my predecessor president at the PSOJ,” tweeted Zacca, also a former PSOJ president.

Lopez, a businesswoman, was honoured with the Order of Distinction, Commander Class in 2002 and in 2006, was conferred with the Order of Jamaica.
