Tahiti Kabana was blazing
The fifth staging of Tahiti Kabanas was smooth sailing, according to promoter Nashwell Thomas.
“The fact that we came up with a theme, which was ‘Nautical Experience, and people were able to feel that sailor vibe made it very successful. The promoters had their own set of hindrances, but patrons could not tell because of how well everything was executed. It was really well done,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
It was held on December 1 on the waterfront, downtown Kingston.
Thomas is also pleased with the positive feedback he has been receiving from partygoers.
“The feedback was pure appreciation for the ambiance, the sound [music], the décor, the food — the food got excellent reviews. The décor was also really good as well as the service…we did not have any parking issues or issues at the entrance, regardless of the fact that we had overwhelming support,” he said.
Music was provided by DJs Nicco, Coppershot, Team Shella, Tyler and Vinchi from X Factor.
Thomas said that even though patrons are requesting that the event be held thrice a year, they are sticking to regular programming for now by hosting it only twice — June and December.
