PHOTOS: CMO among first set of people vaccinated today
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Chief Medical Officer, Dr Jacquiline Bisasor- McKenzie has received the COVID-19 vaccine.
She is now among the first Jamaicans to receive the vaccine today.
Fifty vaccination centres opened across the island this morning and Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Cristopher Tufton said approximately 3,000 people are expected to be vaccinated today.
Health care worker Marcia Thomas-Yettman was the first person in the country to receive the vaccine. Former prime ministers PJ Patterson and Bruce Golding also received the vaccine.

Regional Director for the Western Regional Health Authority, Errol Greene, was the first in the region to get vaccinated at 8:00 am.
