WIPA congratulates Kraigg Brathwaite on appointment as Windies captain
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) is congratulating Kraigg Brathwaite on his appointment as the 37th captain of the West Indies Test team.
Kraigg Brathwaite, who recently led the team to a 2-0 series victory over Bangladesh, replaces Jason Holder who has captained the West Indies team in 37 Tests since his appointment in 2015 at 23 years old.
WIPA’s executive, management and staff extended thanks to outgoing captain Jason Holder for his service to West Indies cricket as captain, and wished him continued success on and off the field. They also wished Kraigg Brathwaite continued success in his new role as captain.
