Man pleads guilty to murder of ex-girlfriend in St Elizabeth
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Jermaine Miller, the man who is accused of killing his 27-year-old ex-girlfriend Nevia Sinclair at her family home in Brinkley, St Elizabeth last year, has pleaded guilty to murder and burglary.
Miller, who is represented by Queen’s Counsel Peter Champagnie, pleaded guilty to both charges in the St Elizabeth Circuit Court today.
He is set to reappear before High Court Judge Justice Evan Brown on March 25 for sentencing.
Sinclair was stabbed to death on the night of January 12, 2020 in her bedroom.
She had moved out of her boyfriend’s home and returned to live with her parents because of an alleged abusive relationship.
