Police seize AK47 in Little London operation
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Members of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force yesterday seized an AK47 rifle in Little London, Westmoreland.
The weapon was seized during an operation in the area between the hours of 3:40 pm and 7:20 pm, the police said.
It had a magazine containing six 7.62 rounds of ammunition.
The lawmen said the firearm and ammunition were found wrapped in a transparent
plastic bag.
No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.
Investigations are ongoing.
