Minister Marion Hall declares Grammy win for upcoming album
Gospel artist Minister Marion Hall is declaring a Grammy win
for her third gospel album.
The Mi Soon Alright
singjay, formerly known as dancehall artist Lady Saw, shared this on social
media yesterday.
“My new album is titled Still Standing!!!!!!! We got a team of extraordinary musicians, and
producers, who are going (to) help me to produce a Grammy winning gospel album.
To God be the glory!!!!! I’m still standing.”
The album title follows a five-year walk in Christendom which
was deemed impossible by naysayers. She has also withstood claims made in
December by spiritual advisor Nardo ‘RT Boss’ Smith that she engaged in obeah
practice before she was baptised.
Her debut gospel project, When
God Speaks, was considered for a gospel Grammy nomination in 2016. Hall
also became the first female deejay to win a Grammy award in 2004 for the track
Underneath It All, alongside No Doubt.
Her fans are backing her Grammy manifestation.
“You got this,” one person said. “I know it will
be amazing. Can’t wait.”
“Claim it!! It’s all written!”
“Definitely gonna get that other Grammy!!! Speak it into
existence. From your mouth to God ears. It is done.”
Another added, “I can’t wait to hear it,” to which
she responded, “It’s gonna be powerful.”
In another fan response, she said, “God did promise me
that what he has planned for me was going (to) be bigger than me. It’s about to
manifest.”
The revelation follows a meeting she had with a top-notch
producer overseas which could see her working with some of the most revered
musicians in the industry.
“Today I spoke to a major producer in Miami Florida who
has worked with big names, such as The Beatles, Al Green, and many more,”
she wrote. “When I sang one of my new songs to him He said Marion you give
me goosebumps. I wasn’t even singing in my normal voice. I was kinda just
singing in a low tone.”
After singing another song, Wailing Woman, she said, “He then excitingly told me about
some other producers in Nashville who worked with artist like Aretha Franklin,
and other big names, that he will also have me do work with.”
