Accused car thief hospitalised after being shot in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica— Police have confirmed that a man has been hospitalised after he was shot in Top Coffee Grove near Bellefield in Manchester on Monday.

Head of the Manchester police, Superintendent Lloyd Darby told OBSERVER ONLINE that investigators are in the community trying to ascertain details surrounding the shooting incident.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that a man was shot after he allegedly attempted to steal a motor vehicle in the area.
