Feisty Sunday Open Allowance Sprint
The three-year-old and upwards Open Allowance call honouring owners Winston Kong and Alexander Haber is set to highlight day number two of the history-making three consecutive race days carnival at Caymanas Park tomorrow, Sunday, April 17.
A field of seven will go to postward over five furlongs round for a total purse of $1.2 million.
The winning chances of each runner is examined below.
1. GENERATIONAL: (5 ch g by Fearless Vision – Electrifying) – Has done more than expected to reach Open Allowance but cannot manage these at this time.
2. SECRET IDENTITY: (4 b f by Bern Identity – Pomeroy’s Secret) – Finished fifth over 7 ½ furlongs 29 days ago in the Chairman’s Trophy feature. Having tested Open Allowance two times, Secret Identity is better placed for a more competitive effort and with the distance in her favour, this talented filly is expected to go to the lead and will have to be caught.
3. NUCLEAR NOON: (4 b c by Nuclear Wayne – Noon It Is) – Went down to Overnight to win in convincing manner over the five-straight course on April 3. Now back to Open Allowance, Nuclear Noon, with a drop in the weight, has the ability of staying off what is going to be blistering fractions before striking in the straight. Will have to be judiciously ridden to enhance his chances of winning.
4. LABAN: (5 b h by Sensational Slam – For Trixie) – Showed nothing on last when finishing down the track in the Saint Cecelia Cup won by Further and Beyond. Laban is viable in this company and with a hot pace in the offering, this five-year-old can sit close and then surge in the final two furlongs. Note, Laban races with the blinkers on.
5. DUKE: (6 gr h by Casual Trick – Lady McBeth) – Ran like himself to finish third behind Further and Beyond and I’ve Got Magic over 6 ½ furlongs 15 days ago. Duke had most of his rivals here behind him that day and with his ability to wait might prove decisive to the outcome.
6. RACE CAR (USA): (5 gr h by Race Day – Mc Duffie) – Was expected to give Horse of the Year Further and Beyond competition in the April 3 Saint Cecelia but failed to land a blow, finishing fifth. Race Car should not be hindered by this sharp trip and will not go down without a fight. Note, Race Car races with the tongue tie on.
7. DEJAE’S BOY: (5 dkb g by Storm Craft – Dream Big) – Dejae’s Boy is going to be left behind but should go home earning.
