CARIFTA Games: Jamaica’s Prince gets silver in Boys’ U-20 sprint hurdles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Demario Prince was beaten into second position by Curacao’s Matthew Sophia in the Boys’ Under-20 110-metre hurdles, at the 49th Carifta Games at the National Stadium on Monday.
Prince, running from lane five, was slightly slow out the blocks and though recovering well, proved no match for Sophia, who won in 13.74 seconds.
The lone Jamaican competitor had to settle for silver in 13.88, with Antoine Andrews (13.91) of Bahamas in third.
