Man charged for sexually molesting 5-y-old sister
SAVANNA-LA-MAR, Westmoreland — The 29-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting his five-year-old sister has been charged.
The man, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the child, was charged by detectives in Westmoreland on Wednesday afternoon. He has been slapped with charges of rape and grievous sexual assault.
On the run since April 7, he was captured during a police operation on Tuesday night.
The man is accused of molesting his baby sister on the night of April 6 at the family home.
Family members had initially feared he had also molested his two-year-old niece, however, the man’s mother later said the younger child had been examined at hospital and appeared unharmed.
