On April 18, 1980 it was Zimbabwe’s Independence Day.

It is sad that Zimbabwe gained independence some four decades ago and public toilets in the central business district are disgusting because of lack of water. Harare central and town centre buildings need to be renovated. Roads need to be reconstructed because there are many potholes causing accidents. Many industries and factories are closed, and the few that are operating and not that effective. Hospitals and clinics need to be renovated and are in need of machines, drugs, and enough equipment to treat people. Innocent human rights are being abused every week against freedom of speech.

People are being permitted by the Government to take precious minerals from Zimbabwe and they have destroyed Hwange National Park by producing coal which produces poisonous gases like carbon monoxide and chemicals that can kill wildlife when they drink water. Lakes are also drying up.

The nation needs a boost its economy.

This Government has failed the State. Zimbabwe gained independence for nothing.
