Police charge Manchester man who threatened another with gun, knife
MANCHESTER, Jamaican — A man, who used a gun and a knife to threaten a man in his community in two separate incidents, has been charged with assault at common law and illegal possession of firearm.
Charged is 31-year-old Kemar Street, otherwise called ‘Indian’ of Greenvale, Manchester.
Reports are that on Wednesday, June 1, about 6:00 am, the complainant drove to a shop in the community and was about to exit his car when it is alleged that Street pulled a firearm and pointed it in his direction and threatened him.
The complainant then went home and was standing at his gate when Street approached him once more with a knife.
The police said the man was assisted by a member of the community and went to a police station to make a report.
Street was arrested and charged on the June 1.
