SIP returns with a bang
Sexy In Paradise (SIP) made its long-awaited return to the entertainment landscape in Montego Bay last Sunday, with scores of patrons turning out to the Aqueduct in Rose Hall for a taste of the party that had developed a must-do status pre-pandemic days.
Dubbed among partygoers as the ‘Party for the Girls’, with its pink colour scheme and visually stunning entry décor and statement pieces, the event has a fitting title as it’s an all-female-led promotion team.
The event featured amenities including a food court, top-shelf liquor, cabanas, on-stage VIP area and a strong line-up of Montego Bay-based DJs.
Charged with entertaining the loyal SIP crowd were DJs Kentucky, Jigga and Dexta Peppa. The veteran Dexta Peppa showed why he is still respected among his peers, while Jigga has steadily carved out a place among the crop of new DJs now heating up the party space. Kentucky quickly reminded partygoers why he has held his place amid an ever-changing and voracious appetite among partygoers. Each within their respective stints drawing on smash hits across genres including pop, R&B, soca, reggae and dancehall allowed for some high points throughout the evening.
