My Sumfest début
BUDDING singjay Jaesinco may be only 18 but she goes into her début appearance at Reggae Sumfest with a new EP and loads of confidence.
Jaephoria is the title of her seven-song EP which includes the song, Jah Will Provide. Both are produced by Horatio Rowe for Krayv Music.
“It is a blessing and an honour to be performing at Reggae Sumfest. This is a big change in my career and I am truly grateful. The past year has been phenomenal in both school and my music. I have done work with some amazing artistes and producers,” said Jaesinco, whose given name is Justina Sinclair.
One month after graduating from Mona High School, Jaesinco will appear on a bill that features major acts such as Shenseea, Spice and Aidonia. She is slated to perform on the penultimate night of the July 17-23 festival which takes place at the Catherine Hall Performing Centre in Montego Bay.
Though the presence of hot artistes and performing in front of thousands of fans seem daunting, being overwhelmed is out of the question for the confident teen.
“My stage presence has also improved from different experiences with different crowds. After each performance it gets easier and more fun,” said Jaesinco.
She began recording songs almost two years ago. Rowe also produced Jaesinco’s first songs Slowly and It’s A Blessing.
