51 new COVID-19 cases in Jamaica, no deaths reported
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Health and Wellness reported 51 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, July 19, bringing the infection total to 144,932.
The new cases comprise 30 females and 21 males, with ages ranging from 13 days to 96 years.
The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (17), St James (16), St Catherine (nine), Westmoreland (six), Trelawny (two) and Portland (one).
No deaths were reported for the period.
There were 122 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 92,571.
Currently, 86 people are hospitalised, 17 of whom are moderately ill, three severely ill and three critically ill.
Jamaica’s positivity rate for the latest round of testing is 20.8 per cent.
